I wonder how many people have thought about trying to make money by taking online surveys? Chances are, if you’ve spent any time online, you have looked into at some point. Sometimes there is the promise of a new set of golf clubs, or a new laptop, even a cruise to the Bahamas, and all you have to do is “give your opinion.”

So are online survey companies for real, or are they just scams looking for that new sucker born every minute? Actually, the answer is “maybe.”

There are a few that are ligit, but there are a million other online paid jobs that will take you a lot further with just a little effort. In fact, the only people who make any money with survey type companies are using Project Payday which is like a sharing kind of survey company whereby you complete tasks for other people who pay you a commission. This works pretty well and is in the same vein as a survey company.

Other than that, there is not a lot of money to be made taking surveys and here is why: Most online survey companies want you to spend money in order to make any money. This is normally not a big deal accept for the fact that you have to spend more than you make, thus keeping you behind all the time.

A good example I recently saw on a paid survey site asked the user to sign up for satellite TV service and in return, they would get $50. This may not be a bad idea if you were in the market to switch satellite or cable providers, but if you’re not, then what do you do?

The truth is folks, anything that is going to make you money will take work and easy paid surveys are not the way to go.
